Drying, glaze, and a little heat. Discover the careful process that turns a suitable handmade piece into finished ceramic.
REFERENCE IMAGEA finish worth
waiting for.
Glaze adds surface color and character. Kiln firing transforms a suitable clay body into ceramic. Together, they take your creation through an important next stage.
Workshop pieces and other handmade pottery need assessment before finishing. Please share the clay body, any existing glaze, dimensions, and intended use. Unknown materials may be unsuitable for our kiln.
Food use depends on compatible materials, a suitable glaze and firing process, and the final condition. Every handmade item is not automatically food-safe. We’ll assess whether a piece is appropriate for its intended use.
Inquire about glazing & firingFirst, a little patience.
We assess the piece and allow it to dry properly before agreeing on a firing process.
Color meets character.
Suitable pieces are fired and finished with compatible glaze and the appropriate kiln cycle.
Ready for its next chapter.
We check the finished piece and agree on collection. Delivery is discussed separately.
A few details
make all the difference.
Tell us when and where the piece was made, its approximate size, and whether you want a decorative finish or a piece intended for food use. The more we know about the clay and glaze, the better we can advise you.
Do I need any pottery experience?
You can start with no experience. Our introductory sessions guide you through working with clay, step by step.
Can I take my pottery home the same day?
Unfired clay is fragile. If you would like a finished ceramic piece, ask about assessment, drying, glazing, and kiln firing. The studio will confirm the timeline, fees, and collection options before you proceed.
Is glazing and firing included?
Finishing options and any additional charges are confirmed separately. Ask the studio for the current class price and a finishing quote before booking.
How do bookings work?
Choose a published session or request your preferred date. Your request stays pending until the studio accepts it. Keep your private tracking link to check the reservation status.
Which studio should I choose?
We have studios in Boudha and Thamel, Kathmandu. See the studio locations page for directions and contact us before traveling.
Can children and private groups join?
Yes, we offer children’s workshops and private group experiences. Tell us the ages, group size, and occasion so we can discuss a suitable session.
